Reporting and Appeals
Last updated: 31 August 2026. Reporting should be simple, private and worth doing. Here is exactly what happens when you use it.
How to report
- Use the report option inside your Circle for anything involving a member.
- Use the reporting page if you are not in a Circle or prefer a longer form.
- Use the reporting flow in your Again account, or the contact form at again.social/contact if you would rather write to us directly.
If anyone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first. Tell us afterwards so we can act on our side.
What to include
What happened, roughly when, who was involved and whether anyone else saw it. Share only what you are comfortable sharing. A short report is far better than no report.
What happens next
- A person reads your report. Nothing is decided by an automated rule.
- The report is given a priority. Critical issues are looked at immediately, and we may restrict an account before the review is finished.
- We may open a case, look at related reports, and contact the people involved. We do not share who reported.
- We tell you that your report was received and closed. We do not share the private details of what happened to another member.
Confidentiality
Your identity as a reporter is not disclosed to the person you reported. Retaliation against someone for reporting is itself a serious breach. Honest reports that turn out to be unfounded are never held against you.
Appeals
If a decision affected your account, you can ask for it to be reviewed. Use the reporting flow in your Again account, or the contact form at again.social/contact and tell us what decision you are appealing and anything you think we missed. Appeals are reviewed by a person who takes a fresh look at the record.
- Send an appeal within 30 days of the decision where you can.
- One appeal per decision, unless genuinely new information appears.
- Restrictions normally stay in place while an appeal is reviewed, because their purpose is to protect people in the meantime.
- We tell you the outcome, and what parts of the record we can share without exposing someone else's privacy.
Data requests
Requests about your own personal data go through Your data and privacy in your Again account, or the contact form at again.social/contact. See the Privacy Policy for the rights you can exercise.
